Description

The 186550 battery shield is a great way to make your DIY projects portable. This shield interfaces with 18650 rechargeable lithium batteries and features built-in circuitry to boost and control the voltage from an 18650 cell to two voltage outputs. The shield can output 3.3V 1A and 5V 2.2A, providing plenty of power and integration options for your projects. These modules accept charging via an integrated micro-USB port.

These battery shields offer power output via the USB or through the Dupont connection points on the PCB.

In this listing is a selection for either 1 or 2-channel 18650 battery holders. Please see their specifications below:

Specifications of Dual Channel:

  • Single 18650 Battery supported
  • Output Voltage/Current: 5V/2A,  3.3V/1A
  • Protection: Overcharge and Over-discharge protection
  • Charger Input: Micro USB port or USB Type C (5V 500mA)
  • Output:
    • 1x USB output (5V)
    • 3x 3.3V output port via Dupont headers
    • 3x 5V output port via Dupont headers
  • LED status indicator (green for fully charged, red for charging)

This dual-channel battery shield module features built-in safeguards against both overcharging and over-discharging, effectively prolonging the lifespan of your 18650 battery. It also includes a convenient onboard DIP switch, offering users the flexibility to toggle between HOLD and NORMAL modes. In NORMAL mode, the module initiates an automatic shutdown when the load current dips below 120mA. Conversely, in HOLD mode, the module remains active and only ceases operation when either the over-discharge protection is activated or the load current falls below 40mA. Furthermore, this dual-channel model boasts the versatility of being rechargeable through either the micro USB or USB Type-C port.
